imageBased in Burbank, CA, I’m an award-winning novelist and a produced screenwriter.

I studied classics and sociology at Stanford (B.A.) and applied linguistics at San Jose State University (M.A.). This led to a varied career in the publishing industry and then to teaching linguistics, ESL and academic writing.

I write comedic novels under the pen name Gwen Ellery and fantastical suspense as Imogen Bold. As for my screenplays, I write them as me, myself and I: Deanna Carlyle.

In my free time, I study animation and video editing techniques. I’m proficient in AVID and familiar with Premiere Pro.
